You Like It… It Likes You!

The 7up logo has a hold on me, especially the design used from the 1930s through the 1960s. It's retrotastic! The slanted dimensional letters. The reddish-orange, black and white color scheme. The simplified nod to effervescent bubbles. It screams you need refreshment, right now. The name is short and fun to say. It's meaning was never explained by its creator, Charles Leiper Grigg. There's plenty of speculation. However, I think Charles knew the value of intrigue. He took THIS secret to his grave in 1940.
